Welcome to the Kindred Kids Book Table. As school year begins, we aim to ensure that every child feels prepared and excited about learning. Join us at events to receive free book starter kits, parent guides, and enroll in our program. Designed for children ages 6 months to 10 years old and their families, this initiative fosters a strong bond with books—completely free of charge.
Join us for free book distribution and live read-aloud sessions at events in Oakland and Wayne County. Children aged 6 months to 10 years can enjoy stories and receive a complimentary book. This enriching experience requires no registration and is completely free. We look forward to welcoming you!

Parent Literacy Sessions
Join us in our mission at One Book. One Child. One Connection at a Time, where we connect trained volunteers with children aged 4 to 10 for enriching reading sessions. Our focus is on cultivating joy and connection rather than performance. If you are passionate about literature and working with children, consider becoming a Reading Buddy—no prior teaching experience is necessary.
We invite you to participate in our complimentary Parent Literacy Sessions, designed to assist caregivers in fostering daily reading habits. These workshops, specifically intended for parents of children aged 6 months to 10 years old, will cover essential topics such as read-aloud strategies, book selection, and the establishment of reading routines.
